About Us

The Stroke Special Interest Group (SIG) is a subsection of the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy (ANPT) that is focused on the provision of stroke resources, education, and advocacy. Membership of the Stroke SIG is open to any member of the Academy with perks such as:

  • Regular newsletters highlighting ANPT and Stroke SIG content
  • Access to podcasts and article summaries of up-to-date research
  • Ability to volunteer with Stroke SIG initiatives including:Stroke SIG Newsletter
  • Stroke SIG Podcasts
  • Resources for Clinicians
  • Resources for Patients
  • Resources for Students

Mission

The mission of the Stroke SIG is to provide a collaborative platform for physical therapy clinicians, faculty, students, and those affected by stroke to advocate for the wellbeing of stroke survivors through evidence-based practice.

Vision

The Stroke SIG supports the ANPT’s vision of helping all people affected by stroke to live their best lives.

In Focus

Journal of Neurologic Physical Therapy

Members receive early and free access to the official of journal of ANPT. Beginning with the January 2026 JNPT edition, all ANPT members will access the Journal online exclusively.
